Our client is a well-established chartered accounting and advisory firm based in Sydney's CBD, opposite Town Hall Station. With around 50 staff across business services, audit, strata, financial planning and superannuation, the firm has a strong reputation for client service and a supportive, close-knit team culture.
Due to an internal move, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Client Service Coordinator to join the business services team, supporting a group of around 20 accountants across three teams.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Office Manager, you will be the first point of contact for the firm's centralised client service inbox, coordinating the flow of work between the accountants and the firm's offshore outsourced team.
This is a genuinely varied role with real scope to expand over time, and the successful candidate will have input into how the position develops.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the centralised CSC inbox and coordinating outsourced tax return preparation
- Quality-checking completed work before it goes back to the accountant
- Preparing documents for client signing via DocuSign
- Following up WIP, debtors, billings and engagement letters
- Covering reception on a rostered basis, including lunch cover and daily mail collection
- Providing ASIC and company secretarial support as required
- Building strong working relationships across the accounting teams
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Client Service Coordinator or practice administration role within an accounting firm
- Experience collating tax returns and liaising with the ATO
- Some exposure to ASIC company secretarial work, highly regarded though not essential
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to follow up busy accountants directly
- A proactive, resilient approach, comfortable managing competing priorities
- A genuine interest in building long-term relationships and growing within the role
- Package up to $93K, dependent on experience, with scope for more for a standout candidate with ASIC experience
- Full-time, based in the office, with some flexibility considered after probation
