Assistant Manager / Experienced Senior Accountant - Sydney Business Advisory
We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager (or experienced Senior) to join the Sydney Business Advisory team at a top 10 global firm. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of undergraduates, graduates, intermediate accountants, and senior accountants while also managing a portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities will encompass providing advisory, accounting, and tax compliance services, including analyzing financial information, reviewing financial reports and income tax returns, assisting clients with tax and accounting technical matters, and managing job budgets.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Review work papers generated by your team.
- Utilize your knowledge of best practices and industry market trends to assist with team growth and performance.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current legal and accounting reporting standards.
- Identify, research, and resolve complex accounting and tax issues.
- Analyze management accounting reports and provide business and tax advice to clients.
- Review income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts.
- Deliver complex tax planning solutions for clients.
- Work with the internal systems in the team to provide efficient processing and analysis.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Business/Commerce degree with an Accounting Major.
- Completed CA or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of experience in Professional Services gained in Australia.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in team leadership and participation.
- Committed to continuing professional development.
