The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Accounting, you'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of private business and family groups, delivering high-quality accounting, tax and advisory outcomes. You'll be trusted as a key client adviser, and supported to lead, mentor and grow a capable team.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the delivery of accounting, tax and advisory services across your client portfolio
Overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns
Preparing and presenting practical, strategic tax advice
Managing client relationships with clear, timely and high-quality communication
Coaching and mentoring accountants and support staff to build capability and confidence
Managing team workflow, WIP, productivity and budgets to ensure smooth delivery
About You
You're an experienced public practice professional ready to step into a role with real autonomy and influence. You enjoy developing people, helping clients navigate complex issues, and delivering advice that makes a genuine difference.
You will bring:
Current experience in a Manager role within public practice
CA or CPA qualifications
10+ years' public practice experience
A proactive, self-directed working style and strong accountability
Confidence managing client relationships end-to-end
Proven experience mentoring staff and leading team workflow
Excellent communication skills and a warm, consultative approach
