Our client is seeking a new Financial Controller to join their team and contribute to their continued success.
Position Summary:
As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in the financial management and strategic decision-making processes of this renowned venue. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a team of three employees, overseeing all aspects of financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance function, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls and procedures to safeguard the venue's assets and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads, monitoring performance and providing analysis of financial results.
- Drive financial analysis and business modelling to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
- Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to provide financial insights and recommendations to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and banking relationships.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and reporting standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A CA or CPA qualification is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices, as well as financial analysis and reporting.
- Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Familiarity with relevant software and systems, financial reporting tools and a tech-savvy mindset that embraces automation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
