Summary:
A unique opportunity for a Client Manager in a forward-thinking accounting & advisory firm (~150 staff globally) to lead the most complex work, final reviews and client relationships. You'll play a pivotal role in the business, taking ownership of high-value engagements and building deeper client-service relationships while overseeing the technical delivery and final sign-off process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the final reviewer and technical lead on high-complexity compliance and advisory work prior to partner sign-off.
- Manage client relationships, lead engagements, and be the main point of contact for clients and partners alike.
- Lead and mentor the supervisor team, ensuring high standards of quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
- Drive business development activities (client retention, growth, referrals) in partnership with senior leadership.
- Collaborate with offshore and local teams to ensure seamless workflow between the India compliance unit and the Sydney team.
Your Background:
- CA or CPA qualified.
- At least 7-8 years' experience in a mid-tier or Big 4 accounting firm, with strong private-client tax and accounting exposure.
- Proven client-service orientation with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong technical depth in compliance, advisory and complex client cases; comfortable leading a team and owning outcomes.
- Comfortable in a hybrid work environment with two Sydney-based offices and offshore support.
