I'm partnering with a highly regarded hospitality venue recognised for delivering premium dining experiences and exceptional service.
They are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team on a full-time basis. This role will take full ownership of payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance and a smooth process for all employees, while also supporting HR with reporting, compliance matters and ongoing process improvements.
This is a hands-on, full-time role responsible for end-to-end payroll and HR administration for a workforce of 150 employees.
Key responsibilities include
- End-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll using Employment Hero HRIS
- Managing onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining employee files
- Drafting contract amendments and flexibility arrangements
- Supporting workers' compensation administration and payroll reconciliations
- Tracking and reporting on certifications, licences and visa expiries
- Providing HR compliance support and assisting with audits
- Interpreting and applying the Enterprise Agreement, NES and Restaurant Industry Award
About you:
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, ATO requirements, FBT and superannuation
- Experience with enterprise agreements, awards and employment contracts
- Background in high-volume payroll, ideally within hospitality or a related sector
- Familiarity with Employment Hero and/or Xero is desirable
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively improve processes
