A highly regarded accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Business Services & Tax professional to join the team as an Associate Director, working closely with the leadership group to deliver high-quality advisory and compliance services while mentoring a growing team.

Their team provides accounting, tax, advisory and consulting services to privately owned businesses, family groups and professional service firms.
With around 80 staff across business services, bookkeeping, audit and administration, the firm has built a strong reputation advising larger privately owned groups, particularly within the medical, dental and healthcare sectors.
The Sydney office is located in Sydney CBD and offers a modern, collaborative working environment supported by fully cloud-based systems and technology.
The Role
As Associate Director, you will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of business services and tax clients while supporting the Partners in leading the team and delivering advisory outcomes.
You will play a key role in reviewing technical work, managing workflow and providing high-level advice to clients while mentoring senior accountants and helping develop the next generation of leaders within the firm.
This role suits an experienced Senior Manager or Associate Director who enjoys client interaction, technical problem solving and team leadership, and who is looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of business services and tax clients including privately owned businesses, professional practices and family groups
- Review financial statements, tax returns and complex group structures ensuring high technical standards
- Provide business advisory, tax planning and structuring advice to clients
- Manage workflow, deadlines and resourcing across the team
- Mentor and develop senior and intermediate accountants
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying advisory opportunities
About You
- CA or CPA qualified
- 8+ years Australian public practice experience
- Currently operating at Senior Manager or Associate Director level
- Strong technical expertise across business services, tax and advisory
- Experience reviewing work and managing teams
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
- Commercial mindset and ability to provide practical advice
