A rapidly growing Sydney-based accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Business Services & Tax professional to join the leadership team as an Associate Director.

Based in Parramatta, the firm provides tailored tax, accounting and strategic advisory services to private clients, family groups and active businesses. They combine the technical rigour often associated with larger accounting firms with the personalised service of a boutique advisory practice.

Following a recent strategic acquisition, the firm is on track to reach approximately $3 million in annual turnover and continues to expand its client base and advisory capability. With a balanced service mix of roughly 50% compliance and 50% tax advisory, the team works on a broad range of complex tax, structuring and strategic matters for private groups.

Working closely with the Partners, you will play a key role in delivering high-level advisory and compliance services while helping lead and develop a growing team. This opportunity is well suited to an experienced Senior Manager looking to step into a broader leadership role within a progressive and entrepreneurial firm.

The Role

As Associate Director, you will manage a portfolio of business services and tax clients while supporting the Partners in driving advisory outcomes and maintaining high technical standards across the team.

You will play an important role in reviewing complex work, delivering tax and structuring advice and mentoring senior and intermediate accountants as the firm continues to expand.

This role offers significant exposure to strategic client engagements and is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with business owners and family groups while developing their leadership capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of business services and tax clients including private businesses, family groups and investment structures
• Review financial statements, tax returns and complex group structures ensuring high technical standards
• Provide tax planning, structuring and advisory services across a broad range of client matters
• Support clients through strategic transactions, structuring decisions and tax planning initiatives
• Manage workflow, deadlines and team resourcing across engagements
• Mentor and develop senior and intermediate accountants while fostering a high-performing team environment
• Identify opportunities to expand advisory services and strengthen long-term client relationships

About You

CA or CPA qualified
8+ years Australian public practice experience
Currently operating at Senior Manager or Associate Director level
Strong technical expertise across business services, tax advisory and structuring
Experience reviewing complex work and managing teams
Strong client relationship and communication skills
Commercial mindset with the ability to deliver practical tax and business advice
