The Firm
Our client is a well-established and highly regarded accounting and advisory firm known for delivering deep expertise across business advisory, corporate finance and tax.

The firm advises a diverse client base including start-ups, privately owned businesses, family groups, SMEs and large corporate entities, providing exposure to complex structures and strategic advisory work.

The Role
Reporting directly to a Partner, the Client Director acts as their second-in-command (2IC), taking ownership of key client relationships while leading a team of accountants and managers.
You'll be the trusted advisor to your clients, overseeing the delivery of compliance and advisory work while ensuring it meets the firm's high technical and quality standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with clients while mentoring and developing their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of business advisory clients (approximately $1M+ in fees), overseeing financial statements, tax returns, BAS/FBT, management reporting and forecasting
- Provide commercially focused tax, structuring and business advisory services, helping clients navigate growth, transactions and succession planning
- Manage workflow, budgets and resourcing while maintaining strong compliance and technical standards
- Mentor and develop senior accountants and assistant managers, fostering a high-performing team culture
- Strengthen client relationships, identify advisory opportunities and contribute to broader business development initiatives
About You
- CA or CPA qualified
- 10+ years Australian public practice experience
- Currently operating at Senior Manager, Associate Director or Director level
- Strong expertise across business advisory, tax and compliance
- Proven leadership and client relationship management experience
- Commercial mindset with strong advisory capability
