A high-growth accounting and advisory firm on Sydney's Lower North Shore is seeking an experienced Associate Director - Business Services to join its leadership team.
The firm has grown rapidly through a clear acquisition strategy and strong organic growth, positioning itself among the Top 50 accounting firms in Australia. With continued expansion planned, the partners are building out their senior leadership team to support the next stage of growth.
The practice has 3 partners and approximately 70 staff across Sydney, supported by a well-established offshore team of 20+ professionals. The firm provides integrated services across accounting, tax, business advisory, wealth and lending to a diverse client base including SMEs, professionals, high-net-worth individuals and international client groups.
The Role
As an Associate Director, you will take ownership of a significant client portfolio while leading a team of accountants and contributing to the firm's continued growth.
You will act as a trusted advisor to business owners, lead and mentor a team of accountants, and work closely with partners on business development and practice growth initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and growing a portfolio of business services clients
- Providing tax and business advisory to SMEs and complex client groups
- Reviewing financial statements and tax returns
- Identifying advisory opportunities within existing clients
- Leading and mentoring a team of accountants
- Supporting partners with business development and client growth
As the firm continues to expand, you will also play a role in integrating new clients and portfolios into the practice.
About You
You are an experienced Senior Manager, Associate Director or Director in business services looking for a leadership role within a growing firm.
You will likely have:
- CA or CPA qualification
- 10+ years' experience in business services and tax advisory
- Strong tax technical capability
- Experience managing a significant client portfolio
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- A commercial mindset with the ability to identify advisory opportunities
Candidates with experience managing complex groups, high-net-worth clients or international structures will be highly regarded.
