About the Firm
This role sits within a large national accounting and advisory group with more than 450 staff across Australia and a turnover of approximately $130m. The firm operates across all major capital cities and is particularly well known for its strength in business services, tax, advisory and insolvency.
The Sydney CBD office has around 40 staff and 8 partners and services a sophisticated client base including medium-to-large private businesses, corporate groups, and organisations across sectors such as infrastructure, transport, media and logistics. The firm combines national resources with strong local leadership and partner access.
What You'll Be Doing
Prepare financial statements and income tax returns (companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals)
Deliver business services and tax compliance work for SME and corporate clients
Assist with advisory matters such as tax planning, structuring and cash flow analysis
Liaise directly with clients and respond to day-to-day queries
Support Managers and Partners on complex engagements
Continue developing your technical and client-facing skills in a structured environment
What We're Looking For
2-4 years' experience in business services and tax within a chartered accounting firm
Degree qualified in Accounting or Commerce
Currently studying or planning to commence CA or CPA
Solid tax compliance and financial reporting experience
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Experience with cloud accounting systems (Xero beneficial)
