The Sydney CBD office consists of around 40 staff and 8 partners, servicing a sophisticated client base that includes medium-to-large privately owned businesses, corporate groups, and organisations operating in sectors such as infrastructure, transport, media and logistics. Position Overview
As a Senior Accountant within the Business Services & Tax team, you'll take ownership of client relationships while delivering high-quality compliance and advisory work.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns
Managing a portfolio of SME and corporate clients
Providing tax compliance and advisory support, including tax planning and structuring
Direct client liaison and management of ongoing relationships
Supporting and reviewing work of junior team members
Working closely with Managers and Partners on complex engagements
Requirements
4-6 years' experience in business services and tax within a chartered accounting firm
Degree qualified in Accounting or Commerce
CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion)
Strong technical grounding in tax compliance and financial reporting
Confident communicator with client-facing experience
Well organised, deadline driven and able to manage multiple engagements
Experience with cloud accounting systems (Xero experience beneficial)
