The Sydney CBD office comprises around 40 staff and 8 partners, servicing a sophisticated client base including medium-to-large privately owned businesses, corporate groups, and organisations across sectors such as infrastructure, transport, media and logistics. Position Overview
As a Supervisor within the Business Services & Tax team, you will sit between senior accountants and managers, taking responsibility for workflow, quality control and client delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing financial statements and income tax returns across all entity types
Managing and overseeing the work of intermediate and senior accountants
Acting as a key escalation point for technical and client matters
Supporting managers and partners on complex compliance and advisory engagements
Direct client liaison and involvement in planning and review meetings
Ensuring deadlines, budgets and quality standards are met
Requirements
6-8 years' experience in business services and tax within a chartered accounting firm
Degree qualified in Accounting or Commerce
CA or CPA qualified
Strong technical capability across tax compliance and financial reporting
Proven experience reviewing work and guiding junior staff
Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
Well organised, commercially minded and comfortable managing multiple engagements
