Position Overview
As an SMSF Manager, you will oversee a substantial portfolio of Self-Managed Superannuation Fund clients and act as the primary point of contact for client queries and service delivery.
This is a 100% client-facing role focused on managing relationships, overseeing compliance workflows and ensuring high-quality delivery across the SMSF portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing 150 SMSF funds directly, with oversight of an additional 100 funds
Acting as the primary contact for client queries and communication
Managing workflow, deadlines and service delivery across the SMSF portfolio
Reviewing and overseeing SMSF compliance work including financial statements and tax returns
Liaising with partners and senior leadership on complex technical matters
Mentoring and guiding a junior team member within the advisory team
Coordinating with offshore support resources where required
Ensuring strong client relationships and high service standards across the portfolio
The role reports directly to partners within the advisory team and works closely with a Senior Manager specialising in SMSF.
Requirements
7+ years' experience in SMSF accounting and advisory
Experience managing a large SMSF client portfolio
Strong knowledge of SMSF compliance, taxation and regulatory requirements
Ability to manage workflow and client relationships independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and leadership abilities
CA qualified preferred (CPA with relevant experience also considered)
